To support remote learning, teachers can administer offline tests while using browser-based video conferencing tools (such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet) running in the background to monitor exams.
When creating a test, enable:
- Test Delivery Mode: Offline
- Allow browsers to run in the background
At the time of the test, students must first join the online meeting room. Once students have successfully joined the meeting room, the teacher can ask students to open the AssessPrep offline app to start the test. Most of the schools are sharing the access code via the same meeting room 4-5 minutes before the test schedule time.
Please note this feature is only available with AssessPrep version 6.0.0 and above for both Mac and Windows. You need to make sure that your students are all on the latest application version.
Note: Students will not be able to switch between browser and meeting room, nor will they be able to copy-paste any content from the browser. The AssessPrep offline app ensures that students cannot open any other windows until their test has been submitted or quit. As a teacher and moderator of the meeting room, you can administer using the webcam and can hear any voice if students are talking to anyone.
